Kairav refuses to celebrate his birthday with Kartik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently saw a courtroom drama revolving around Kairav's custody case. In the recent episodes, we saw that Kartik decides to file for Kairav's custody. Naira tries to stop him but he does not listen and they go forward with the case. Swarna makes Kartik and Naira understand that they must stop it for Kairav. Kairav hears their conversation tries to find out what custody means. Kartik and Naira reach the court and their lawyers put forth valid points to help them in the case. Damini Mishra, Kartik's lawyer accuses Naira of being an irresponsible mother for running away from her family while she was one month pregnant. Damini tells the court that she has some solid proof against Naira. She shows a medical report to the court which shatters Naira. Everyone is shocked when Damini tells them that Naira wanted to abort the child.

Naira runs away from the court while Kartik follows her and questions her regarding the abortion decision. She refuses to explain to anybody and leaves. The next day Naira calls Kartik to meet her and tells him that he can take Kairav's custody as she does not want her child to know about their relationship. 

In the court, Damini Mishra once again takes up the abortion topic and accuses Naira of being a bad human. Kartik asks Damini to shut up and not to spoil Naira's image. He hands over Kairav's custody to Naira saying Naira cannot take any decision wrongly. Naira tells him she had to abort the child as doctors said that their child would be born abnormal but still she gave birth to the child. In the upcoming episodes, we will see Naira telling Kartik that his son's birthday falls on the same day as his. Kartik is happy when he gets to know about it while Kairav sees them and thinks they are fighting.

He then remembers his parents' fight and how Kartik troubled his mother. He misunderstands his father and begins to gather hatred for him. Naira plans for Kartik and Kairav's birthday but Kairav refuses to celebrate it with his father. Will Naira be able to clear Kairav's misunderstanding or will Kairav's hatred grow.
