Kasautii Zindagii Kay : Shivani and Prerna's plan succeeds in revealing Komolika's truth

Kasautii Zindagii Kay begins with Anurag speaking to Prerna over the phone where he asks about her health. She asks the reason behind his concern and Anurag says that she is special for him. Prerna cuts the call because she did not want to hear her cry.

Anupam then comes in and tries to remind Anurag about Komolika and Ronit but he can't recall any of it and stresses a lot. Anupam realises that it's not a good idea to remind him anything and changes the topic.

Ronit, on the other hand, is attending the guests all by himself at his engagement party and waiting eagerly for his sister Sonalika (Komolika) to attend the ceremony. However, Sonalika is waiting at the Basu mansion to meet an interior decorator suggested by Nivedita. She is getting anxious and restless as she is unable to move out of the house.

Sonalika mixes some drug in Nivedita's glass of water and she chokes and faints. And, Sonalika gets to go to her brother's ceremony. Prerna and Shivani then dress up as dancers in a traditional Rajasthani ghagra choli and enter Ronit's house. The sisters look around for Sonalika but can't find her anywhere.

Ronit is not sure if Sonalika will be able to come and perform the rituals but knows that his sister will fulfill her promise. Sonalika then enters and stands beside Prerna and the latter thinks to herself that she was sure Sonalika would come for her brother's ceremony.

Shivani sees Sonalika performing all the rituals as his sister but gets locked inside Ronit's room. Ronit hears the knocking on the door and opens it to find Shivani inside. He asks her the reason behind hiding in his room. She makes up a story and tells that she loves him and asks him to call off this engagement ceremony.
